November in Goa: Things to do and expect

Could there possibly be a better time to visit Goa? Probably not. November marks the beginning of the peak season in the state. You can bet your bottom dollar that most of the attractions and activities are open including the beachfront stalls, street-side stalls, restaurants, bars, and the beach shacks. The nightclubs are fully functioning as well.

Is November the perfect month for your vacay to Goa? Let’s find out.

How’s the weather?

With over 9 hours of sunshine every day, there’s plenty of daylight to be had. And of course, there’s the usual after dark stuff. The average sea temperature is around 29°C. Spender’s time at the beach and the water, but make sure to avoid direct sunlight, particularly between 11 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon, when the sun is the strongest.

Expect light showers once a week or so, usually at around 5-6 pm. Consider carrying a small umbrella as said showers can be very unpredictable.

What should you do?

Watersports

Most watersports in Goa are usually shut down during the monsoons. Business resumes with the onset of October. However, the real grind starts only in November. Expect every water sport imaginable to be available. Need for speed? Speedboating is for you. Wannabe Tony Stark? Check out flyboarding at Baina beach. No need of any Vibranium here 😉

Clubbing

Goa’s nightlife scene is hot. … Yes, yes, those are real people going into the club, even though they look like they’ve been freshly pampered. Goa may not be the largest state in the country, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in 24-hour party potential. With all those outgoing tourists moving around you can expect every darn club in the state to be awaiting you with arms wide open.

Be it Tito’s, Capetown Cafe, Sinq or Las Solas. Some special parties invite-only. So be sure to have contacts 😉

Accommodations

Unfortunately, accommodations at this time of the year can be really expensive due to the high demand. But you can still get a discount at some luxury villas and apartments if you make it in the first week of the month. There are some fantastic properties to choose from, both in the North and the South.

A beachside hut is also a great and affordable way to enjoy a more relaxing time.
