Here are a few tips by the locals of Goa which caught our eye this week:
1. Mollem, Caranzol

Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park is a 240 square kilometres reserved forest area in South Goa along the ranges of Western Ghats. It was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1969. The wide variety of birds and butterflies found here are native to the region. Jungle safaris are major attraction of this park.
2. Route 66, Panjim

Route 66 is a smoke house and grill with bar serving serving mouth watering Cheese Burgers, Juicy Steaks and an assortment of American Grills. Their burgers taste so awesome that it can be labelled as mini flavor bombs in your mouth. Apart from these, they also present to you a good choice of pastas, salads, pizzas and desserts. Heaven for a fast food lover, isn’t it?
3. Sinquerim Beach, Candolim

Sinquerim beach is a small stretch of sand on the same belt as the famous Baga-Calangute and Candolim beaches. Located 13 kms away from Panjim, it is frequented by tourists and locals due to its strategic location. You can find the fort of Aguada and several five star resorts and clubs within the vicinity of this beach.
4. Wonderwall Festival, Sunset Ashram

Wonderwall, an electronic music festival conceptualised by the famous VJ cum DJ Nikhil Chinapa, is scheduled to happen in Goa this month. The festival will take place on the shores of Sunset Ashram in Ashwem, from 28th to 30 december. A Special New Years Eve party will follow the event on 31st. The highlight of this is its picturesque location which will be unaltered for the party.
5. Mango Tree, Vagator
Lokaso Tip: “ Breakfast to Dinner for Continental/ Indian/ Seafood. It remains open till 4 am”
Mango Tree Bar & Cafe at Vagator is a perfect place to socialize with your kith and kin on a weekend with some great food and drinks to unwind. The best part is that it’s open from 9am to 4am. But, there’s a catch; They do not take order from 11pm-midnight due to the shift change of its staff.
6. Ritz Classic restaurant, Panjim
Lokaso Tip: “If you’re around Panjim at night and you love seafood platter, this is the place for you. P.S. The platters are available only at night”- Tejas Fadte
Ritz Classic is the first name that comes to your mind when it comes to seafood in Panjim. It remains jam-packed during the lunch time for its assorted fish thali. You can expect the same crowd at night too, but for its other seafood delicacies. One such scrumptious offering is the seafood platter which has a huge variety of fishes for you to gorge on.
7. Mount Mary Chapel, Old Goa
Lokaso Tip: ” A magnificent view of the hills from the Mount Mary Chapel at Old Goa. One can spot 7 other churches from here.” – Esteann Afonso
The Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount located in Goa Velha or Old Goa offers a beautiful panoramic view of the hills and the churches nearby. The plain whitewashed walls of the church present a delightful picture at sunset. The chapel was built in 1510 by Alfonso de Albuquerque, right on top of the hill behind the St. Cajetan Church.
